Hi, I'm Mia.

I'm a wife and mumma of three! I'm a professional natural light photographer and owner of Rose Mia Photography. I'm a story teller and lover of capturing the love and connection between souls.

I first discovered my love for photography as a little girl. My father, a talented photographer, would capture me in his frames to send to my grandmother in Europe. I watched him as he photographed beauty everywhere - mostly landscapes and portraits. It was no surprise that I also grew to love the art of photography.

I got my first proper camera when I was 11 years young.

In 2001 I began formally studying photography, although it was always a hobby and something I loved to do.

Fast-forward some years and I had a strong desire to immerse myself in different cultures, learn more about them and myself. So at 21, I booked a one-way ticket and travelled the world.

I saw so much beauty and connection everywhere, capturing it along the way.

After my travelling years, it was time to come home and start my own story. I continued to capture and learn.

I fell in love, married my soulmate and became a mother. From there, I changed profoundly. Becoming a mother was the most incredible and life changing experience. I embraced it, soaked it in and lived in the moment.

Having more time at home, I continued to grow creatively and professionally, finding my passion for portrait photography and Rose Mia Photography was born.

There is nothing more special and significant than capturing the love and connection between people. Each one unique and the love and connection is worthy of capturing at any age and any stage.
